Update #3
Another whirlwind of a week behind us, another tornado of a week ahead of us! Such is the life of a Fusion intern.
We spent the past week traveling around to different English camps, spending the afternoon teaching a Fusion choir workshop, and playing worship for their evening program. We covered a lot of ground and interacted with a LOT of students, and it was a little overwhelming at times, constantly being surrounded by brand new people. But, the campers and staff responded really well, and we ended up having some great interactions, and quite a few people showed interest in possible future Fusion programs. Super exciting!
Our last English Camp workshop was at a camp in the woods in a town called Marylin. One of my favorite moments of the week happened when we led worship at their camp. Towards the end of Forever Reign, we asked people to declare truths about God while we played softly in the background. It started with leaders, saying things like "God, you are light," "you are truth," "you are our strength." Then the Polish voices started coming through. Some of them were definitely leaders, but more and more students started speaking out until there were words from every corner of the room. It was beautiful to see the Spirit moving and these kids speaking boldly about God in the presence of their peers.
Over the weekend, we helped out at a kids camp in Marylin and taught more Fusion choir workshops. Working with elementary students definitely brought it's own challenges, especially with the language barrier, but they were so fun and so open, and showed me a LOT of grace with my broken Polish.
Now we're back in Wrocław training the next round of short term teams for the second term of camps. This time, the Fusion interns will be splitting off to two different cities, but we'll be at the same camp all week, which will be a really nice change. I'm really looking forward to getting to know campers better and investing in their growth this week.
Please continue to pray for our team, for health and energy, for unity with the short term teams and local churches as we lead camps together, and for the hearts and minds of the students to be open to what the Spirit wants to say to them this week. Thank you so much for all your prayers and support and for being a part of the movement of God in Poland.
